Lt. Col. Mark C. Jordan, commander of the 1-107th Aviation Regiment, Airfield Operations Battalion (AOB), speaks during a transfer of authority ceremony at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Oct. 15, 2021. The ceremony marked the shift of responsibility over the mission from the outgoing unit, 2-111th Aviation Regiment, AOB, to the 1-107th AOB. The AOB provides CJTF-HOA several capabilities including Air Traffic Controllers, airfield ground management teams, technical expertise and state of the art equipment to support flying operations in austere environments.
