U.S. Air Force Gen. Arnold W. Bunch, Jr., Air Force Materiel Command, and U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. David Flosi, AFMC command chief, speak to an audience of Airmen and Guardians during an All-Call at Los Angeles Air Force Base, California, Oct. 26, 2021. As the Servicing MAJCOM, AFMC will accomplish the roles and responsibilities traditionally performed by a Major Command for the Airmen supporting the U.S. Space Force. The Department of the Air Force created this unique and first-time serving MAJCOM structure to ensure Airmen assigned to the Space Force receive the same development opportunities, functional and administrative support as those as U.S. Air Force Installations.
