U.S. Air Force Capt. Matthew Kellogg, a pilot assigned to the 171st Air Refueling Squadron at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan, in the U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker currently assigned to the 506th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron during exercise Sea Dragon 2022 Jan.19, 2022, near the Philippine Sea. The intent of this mission was to train P-8A Poseidon pilots to tank with the KC-135 during antisubmarine warfare while tracking a simulated submarine target known as an expendable mobile anti-submarine warfare training target.
