Staff Sgt. Marina Langenderfer assigned to the 127th Wing Medical Group, is a health services management craftsman. As a health services specialists it is her job to keep the medical clinic at Selfridge Air National Guard Base running efficiently. Her job entails processing patient records and administrative duties including preparing staffing plans.
She has been a member of Michigan Air National Guard since 2009 and has received two awards including the Air Force Achievement Medal and Air Force Outstanding Unit Award.
Since joining the Air Force she has taken advantage of the educational benefits and opportunities to travel. Langenderfer recently traveled to a Naval Air Station medical facility in Sicily, Italy for a 127th Medical Group training mission.
Langenderfer is happy to be recognized during Women's History month. "Women have come so far in the military," said Langenderfer.
