YOKOSUKA, Japan (Jan 27, 2022) Information Systems Technician (Submarine) 2nd class Tyler Campbell, from Coatesville, Pa., serves aboard the Virginia-class fast-attack submarine USS Missouri (SSN 780), homeported at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. As part of his job responsibilities, Campbell performs core and specialty functions of communications operations, message processing, network administration, and cybersecurity. “Walking around with fish on your chest is a little bit different than the other communities. It’s not like the surface fleet. There’s only a crew of about 130 to 150 people onboard, whereas an aircraft carrier has thousands of people.
