U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Michael E. Langley, the commanding general of Fleet Marine Force, Atlantic (FMFLANT), Marine Forces Command (MARFORCOM), Marine Forces Northern Command (MARFOR NORTHCOM), and Sgt. Maj. Michael J. Pritchard, the command sergeant major of FMFLANT, MARFORCOM, MARFOR NORTHCOM, are greeted by Col. Richard H. Pitchford, the commanding officer of Marine Corps Security Force Regiment (MCSFR), and Sgt. Maj. Christopher J. Easter, the command sergeant major of MCSFR, during a base visit at Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, Virginia, Feb. 15, 2022. Lt. Gen. Langley arrived at MCSFR to discuss resiliency of the strategic weapons enterprise and preparations for the commander’s update brief. MCSFR organizes, trains, equips, and provides anti-terrorism security forces in support of combatant commanders and Naval commanders in order to conduct expeditionary security operations and provide security for strategic weapons and vital national assets.
