JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Feb. 10, 2022) - Lt. Cmdr. Sean Wade, a physician, examines a patient at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s Orthopedics Clinic. Wade, a native of Olney, Maryland, received his doctor of medicine degree from University of Virginia. Wade says, “As a Navy orthopedic surgeon, I provide musculoskeletal care for active duty service members, retirees, and their family members. I am committed to optimizing and maintaining a medically ready force by attending to the orthopedic needs of my patients, so that our service members are better able to carry out their mission.” On short notice, Navy physicians deploy in support of combat operations, disaster relief, and humanitarian assistance missions, providing patient care ashore and afloat.
