220504-N-JO823-1014 YOKOSUKA, Japan (May 4, 2022) Culinary Specialist Seaman Dontae Petteway, from Los Angeles, cleans a grill in the aft galley aboard the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Reagan’s culinary specialists prepare and serve more than 5,000 meals daily while in port and 15,000 while underway. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
