220511-N-DW158-1025 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 11, 2022) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 1st Class Mckinley Martin from Subic City, Philippines, gives a safety brief prior to a mass casualty drill on the flight deck of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The drills are designed to simulate a mass casualty event where firefighting and medical response teams train in unison to maintain mission readiness. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
