220511-N-DW158-1064 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 11, 2022) Sailors man a firefighting hose in response to a simulated fire during a mass casualty drill on flight deck of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The drills are designed to simulate a mass casualty event where firefighting and medical response teams train in unison to maintain mission readiness. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
