220511-N-LI114-1081 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 11, 2022) Sailors move simulated casualties from the flight deck to the hangar bay for triage during a mass casualty drill aboard the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Mass casualty drills are designed to simulate a mass casualty event where firefighting and medical response teams train in unison to keep the ship mission ready. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
