A U.S. Navy color guard with 1st Marine Division presents the colors during a cake cutting ceremony for the 237th birthday of the U.S. Navy here, Oct. 12, 2012. Sailors from 1st Marine Division gathered to witness the ceremony, where the oldest sailor and the youngest sailor were recognized and given the first slices of the cake. The U.S. Navy was created on Oct. 13, 1775, by an act of the Continental Congress in Philadelphia.
