Officials from the Al-Lohom Health Center in the Dar Sad District of Aden Governorate, Yemen receive complete blood count machines provided with USAID funding on March 30, 2022. The USAID Systems, Health, and Resiliency Project (SHARP) is delivering medical devices and conducting minor rehabilitations at health facilities to help resolve community conflicts related to the provision of health services. A health conflict assessment completed with USAID funding in April 2021 found that a lack of medical equipment and limited infrastructure at health facilities are two major reasons people choose not to seek health services. Improved access to health services leads to better health outcomes for people in Yemen. Photo Credit: Nisrin Nasher.
