U.S. Army Trooper Spc. Nikolas Garcia, an infantryman assigned to the Regimental Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 3d Cavalry Regiment, scans the terrain and provide security during a tactical operation center change of location or “jump,” May 18, at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California. Overhead, Soldiers assigned to 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, fly a UH-64 Blackhawk in the vicinity of the ground unit to scout for enemy activity. 3d CR and attached supporting units conducted a training rotation throughout the month to validate their warfighting capabilities.
