U.S. Army Stryker and UH-60 Blackhawk teams, assigned to 3d Cavalry Regiment and 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, respectively, operate their vehicles jointly in battlefield operations during a training rotation to the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California, May 18, 2022. Joint operations is a real-world occurrence, which is why the partnership happens in the training environment. The aviation unit provides aerial reconnaissance, MEDEVACs, air assault and aerial attack capabilities while the 3d CR provides swift and safe ground transportation for mounted and dismounted Troopers.
