JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON - (June 27, 2022) Congratulations to Sonar Technician Surface 2nd Class Petty Officer Abel Tovar who received his frocking letter from Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) San Antonio Commanding Officer, CDR Stephanie Simoni during a promotion ceremony held at NTAG Headquarters. Tovar, who is from Harlingen, Texas, and a graduate of Harlingen High School, was pinned by his wife and son and is now authorized to assume the title of First Class Petty Officer was thankful for the promotion and thanked all present. NTAG San Antonio’s area of responsibility includes more than 30 Navy Recruiting Stations and Navy Officer Recruiting Stations spread throughout 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas territory.
