Maj. Gen. David Mikolaities, The Adjutant General, New Hampshire National Guard, addresses attendees at the 64th Air Refueling Squadron assumption of command ceremony July 8 at Pease Air National Guard Base in Newington, New Hampshire. The 64th was originally assigned to Pease in 2009 in support of the since-divested KC-135 Stratotanker. The unit returned to help support the Wing's new complement of a dozen KC-46A Pegasus refuelers. The 64th is expected to grow to 160 Airmen by December 2023. "We couldn't be more excited to have you all back," Mikolaities said. "If it wasn't for our congressional delegation advocating for us, it wouldn't have happened."
