USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) rifle detail stand at parade rest prior to a burial at sea ceremony on the ship’s aircraft elevator 3, July 12, 2022. During the ceremony, the cremains of 30 souls were committed to the sea in the Atlantic Ocean. Ford is underway in the Atlantic Ocean conducting an independent steaming operation.
