PACIFIC OCEAN (July 6, 2022) – Airman Logan Clements checks the Publication Electronic Maintenance Aid while conducting maintenance with a radar altimeter tester in the avionics shop aboard amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), July 6. The altimeter troubleshoots specific aircraft equipment to prevent aviation malfunction. Makin Island is currently underway conducting routine operations in U.S. 3rd Fleet.
