Construction on Iraq’s first-ever solar farm is underway in Dohuk! This 2-acre solar farm has 2-megawatt capacity and was made possible by USAID support, which streamlined the bidding process, making the procurement more responsive and transparent. Located on the hills of Dohuk University, the solar farm, funded by a UNDP grant for the University of Dohuk, will officially start generating solar energy in September 2022.
