Oregon Air National Guard Brig. Gen. Prior to the evening’s events, Crosby visited with the 102nd Weapons of Mass Destruction - Civil Support Team (CST), Oregon National Guard, at their operations center, located near Hayward Field. He also observed their joint operations with local, state and federal authorities conducting ongoing threat assessments for the event and sweeping the area to help ensure the safety of all the participants and observers in attendance. The World Track and Field Championships ran from July 15-24, and it was the first time the Championships have been held in the United States.
