U.S. Marine 1st. Lt. Louis Cordero, with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, addresses Marines with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262 (Reinforced), 31st MEU, after their promotion ceremony aboard Amphibious Assault Ship USS Tripoli (LHA-7), Aug. 4, 2022, in the Philippine Sea. The promotion ceremony took place on the flight deck of LHA-7. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
