U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Xinyi Xie, a supply clerk with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, receives her new rank insignia by Gunnery Sgt. Bryce Chapa and Cpl. Luis Cubias with Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262 (Reinforced), 31st MEU, aboard Amphibious Assault Ship USS Tripoli (LHA-7), Aug. 4, 2022, in the Philippine Sea. Xie is a Miami, Florida native. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
