U.S. Navy Sailors and Marines, aboard Amphibious Assault Ship USS Tripoli (LHA-7) with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, pose for a photo in front of a CH-53E Super Stallion following a promotion ceremony, Aug. 4, 2022, in the Philippine Sea. The promotion ceremony took place on the flight deck of LHA-7. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
