Lenna Hawkins, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District deputy engineer, introduces the government officials who visited the Montgomery Locks and Dam to discuss the $857 million the facility received from the $1.2 trillion Bipartisan Infrastructure Law in Monaca, Pennsylvania, Aug. 18. The Upper Ohio Navigation Project is part of the National Economic Development plan for improving the Upper Ohio River Navigation. The Emsworth and Dashields locks and dams, two other vital locks and dams on the Ohio River, will also receive money for improvements from the BIL.
