A UH-1Y Venom helicopter with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Training Squadron (HMLAT) 303, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, picks up tools and equipment via long line external lift in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California, Oct. 16, 2022. HMLAT-303 Marines and state, federal, and private agencies utilized long line external lift capabilities via UH-1Y Venom helicopters to conduct a water resupply for endangered bighorn sheep and carry heavy equipment through mountainous terrain. Due to the rugged terrain, Marines of HMLAT-303 executed advanced landing techniques. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Joshua Brittenham)
