Spencer Hart (right), an AH-1Z Viper pilot with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Training Squadron (HMLAT) 303, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, and Janene Colby, a wildlife biologist with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, go over how to use a telemetry scanner to track bighorn sheep in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California, Oct. 16, 2022. HMLAT-303 Marines and state, federal, and private agencies utilized long line external lift capabilities via UH-1Y Venom helicopters to conduct a water resupply for endangered bighorn sheep.
