Alameda, CA - Senior Chief Corpsman Melissa Crowe pins an anchor to Chief Sonar Technician Lauren Wanzer, Navy Reserve Center (NRC) San Jose, aboard the USS Hornet (CV 12) museum ship Oct. 22, 2022. Fourteen northern California chief petty officers (CPO) had their anchors pinned and donned their CPO covers for the first time in front of their fellow CPOs, command leadership, family, and friends.
