U.S. Marine Corps Col. The 26th MEU CO joined the reconnaissance Marines a part of the MEU MSPF during helocast and beach training operations to talk to small unit leaders and to gain a better appreciation of the various special insertion methods and capabilities the MSPF provides. Helocasting is an airborne technique used by small unit special operations forces to insert into hard-to-reach areas via bodies of water. This high-risk training prepares the MSPF for the upcoming 26th MEU deployment. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Matthew Romonoyske-Bean)
