Chief Warrant Officer 5 Joedy VanVelzen and his co-pilot land at the Army Aviation Support Facility in Boone, Iowa, Oct. 20, 2022. VanVelzen completed his last flight after serving 40 years as a pilot in the Iowa Army National Guard. Friends, family and the Boone Fire Department came out to celebrate the milestone.
