YOKOSUKA, Japan (Nov. 18, 2022) - Capt. Leslie Sobol, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), speaks during a ribbon cutting ceremony for a newly-upgraded Pier 5. The ceremony marked the completion of a two-year project that will support both the legacy and newer classes of ships docked at CFAY. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
