PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 18, 2022) Sailors aboard amphibious transport dock ship USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26) participate in weapons familiarity training in the ship’s hangar bay, Nov. 18, 2022. Weapons familiarity is part of sustaining an armed watch qualification for Sailors to stand force protection security watches. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and amphibious transport docks USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and John P.
