Vincent Capodanno was an Italian American U.S. Navy Chaplain who died in combat while serving with the Marine Corps in Vietnam. He received the Medal of Honor for his actions in ministering to wounded and dying Marines and refusing medical evacuation even after being wounded himself (U.S. Navy Graphic by MC2 Zachary Bender).
