ANNAPOLIS, Md. (Jan. 17, 2023) The U.S. Naval Academy honored the life of Cmdr. David Wallace in the U.S. Naval Academy Chapel with a funeral and burial service with military honors. Wallace, a permanent military professor in the leadership, ethics, and law department, died peacefully in his home Dec. 26, 2022 after a two-year battle with cancer. His dedication to the development of further naval leaders was evident in his mentorship of midshipmen and his establishment of the Peer Coaching Program at the Naval Academy. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Valerie, and their three daughters, Savannah, Madeline, and Emma. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Sarah M. Thielen)
