She then continued her military training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri in June of 2022 as a horizonal construction engineer. Otto is now entering her first full year of service with the Minnesota National Guard’s 851st Engineer Vertical Construction Company, 682nd Engineer Battalion. She is being featured as part of the Minnesota National Guard’s “Year in the Guard” series that will feature four service members at different stages in their military careers – Otto’s story will focus on her first year serving in the Minnesota National Guard.
