U.S. Navy hospital corpsmen with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, provide after action medical care to a simulated casualty following a ship to shore casualty care and extraction exercise at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Jan. 25, 2023. The exercise simulated a mass casualty incident to maintain readiness and to improve response time. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of USS America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
