U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Bryan Robert Kipp, combat controller, attached to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) places flags where metal hits are detected during an investigation of a possible crash site in Lampang province, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 09, 2023. This mission is DPAA’s effort to investigate the location a missing service member from a crash site during World War II in order to set the conditions for a future recovery mission.
