U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Mark Azucar, a field artillery cannoneer with Battalion Landing Team 1/6, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), poses for a photo while setting security during a live fire raid part of MEU EX II on Camp Lejeune, NC, Feb. 3, 2023. The raid was the culminating event for MEU EX II, following Amphibious Squadron/MEU Integration Training. The raid integrated multiple elements of the Marine Air Ground Task Force with live-fire events and showcased the MEU’s ability to execute a beach landing from ship-to-shore off the coast utilizing amphibious craft.
