FORT BRAGG, N.C. (Feb. 16, 2023) – Captain Kimberly Toone, commanding officer Navy Medicine Operational Training Command (NMOTC), watches a demonstration scenario put on by the Naval Special Operations Medical Institute (NSOMI) at the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School simulating casualty care with high fidelity manikins and using hyper realistic special effects makeup called moulage during training at Fort Bragg, North Carolina Feb. 16, 2023. Enlisted service members who completed the course specialize in trauma management, infectious diseases, cardiac life support and surgical procedures, with a basic understanding of veterinary medicine and dental medicine. Navy Medicine Operational Training Command (NMOTC) is comprised of six nationwide detachments that offer specialized medical training in the fields of aviation, aviation survival, surface and undersea warfare, expeditionary and special operations medicine.
