Col. Andrew Ballenger, Commander, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oklahoma Army National Guard addresses Soldiers and families during the deployment ceremony for Task Force Tomahawk at the Paycom center in Oklahoma City, 15 April 2023. Ballenger encouraged Soldiers to remember their "why" during the deployment and to live up to the expectations of the community, family and the 45th. More than 1,000 Oklahoma Army National Guardsmen, including a company each from Nebraska and Indiana, will deploy overseas as Task Force Tomahawk in support of operations within U.S. Africa Command’s area of responsibility.
