Friends and family of Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 179 Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oklahoma Army National Guard say their goodbyes during the citizen Soldiers farewell ceremony at the Paycom center in Oklahoma City, 15 April 2023. More than 1,000 Oklahoma Army National Guardsmen, including a company each from Nebraska and Indiana, will deploy overseas as Task Force Tomahawk in support of operations within U.S. Africa Command’s area of responsibility.
