Smoke billows from the top ven, door and vent hatch of the Drager Fire Training System as firefighters inside the training apparatus observe smoke and fire behaviors during a training exercise held aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, California, March 30. The system affords firefighters the opportunity to experience a full burn-over, which is one of the most dangerous types of fire events, in a safely controlled environment. They control the fire and smoke behaviors using the doors and vents.
