Staff Sgt. Matthew Allis, Squad Leader, 401st Quartermaster Detachment, Lock Haven, Pa., secures a forklift Nov. 5 at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. The unit is awaiting orders to deploy into New York City and begin pumping water out of areas most affected by Hurricane Sandy. The forklift will move water pumps, hoses and other equipment necessary to complete the mission.
