U.S. Marines with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU)’s Maritime Special Purpose Force board an MV-22 Osprey prior to conducting a reconnaissance and surveillance insert during Amphibious Ready Group/MEU Exercise (ARGMEUEX) aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), Atlantic Ocean, April 21, 2023. The insert was part of a training scenario testing the MEU’s ability to develop plans using the rapid response planning process to execute complex missions in a contested environment.
