A Paladin M109A6 fires artillery rounds as initial suppressive fire during Hammer Strike rehearsals, a brigade level exercise conducted by the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, at the Udairi Range Complex near Camp Buehring, Kuwait, Tuesday. The Sledgehammer Brigade showcased their lethal firepower and maneuverability to its Kuwaiti counterparts in attendance for the event. The Sledgehammer Brigade’s deployment to Kuwait is in accordance with the longstanding bilateral agreement between the U.S. and the Kuwaiti forces in order to promote security and stabilization in the region.
