U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Daniel Bolves, a tactical air defense controller, with Marine Air Support Squadron 3, Marine Control Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, controls airspace and aircraft in the Multifunction Air Operations Center during Northern Edge 23-1 at the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex located in Alaska on May 9, 2023. NE 23-1 is the first in a series of 2023 exercises where 3d Marine Aircraft Wing will demonstrate the operational reach of I Marine Expeditionary Force, while providing speed, depth, and agility to the Marine Air Ground Task Force, Joint Force, and Allies and partners.
