U.S. Marine Corps AN/MRQ-13 Communication Systems assigned to Marine Air Support Squadron 3, Marine Control Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, provide command and control to the Joint Force during Northern Edge 23-1 at the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex located in Alaska on May 9, 2023. NE 23-1 is the first in a series of 2023 exercises where 3d Marine Aircraft Wing will demonstrate the operational reach of I Marine Expeditionary Force, while providing speed, depth, and agility to the Marine Air Ground Task Force, Joint Force, and Allies and partners. NE 23-1 provides the opportunity for U.S. military personnel to sharpen their skills; to practice tactics, techniques, and procedures; to improve command, control and communication relationships; and to develop cooperative plans and programs.
