USAID Counselor Clinton White, Acting Assistant Administrator Andrew Plitt, and Chief Digital Democracy and Rights officer Vera Zakem met with representatives from #Libya’s General Electric Company and Renewable Energy Authority to discuss USAID assistance in the energy sector. Through these partnerships, USAID helped reunify and stabilize the electricity grid, increase power-generation capacity, and introduce climate-friendly policies that could eliminate million tons of carbon annually. The result was that, thanks to these efforts, Libya celebrated Ramadan with no power outages for the first time in years
