USAID Counselor Clinton White , Acting Assistant Administrator Andrew Plitt, and Chief Digital Democracy and Rights officer Vera Zakem congratulated Libyan Audit Bureau (LAB) staff who recently completed professional auditor accreditation training - the gold standard of international audit certifications. Corruption in Libya undermines national security, stunts economic growth, exacerbates the impacts of climate change, and saps the government’s legitimacy, eroding faith in democracy itself. USAID partners with LAB to fight corruption and improve the effectiveness and transparency of Libya’s public institutions.
