Lt. Gen. Xavier T. Brunson, commanding general of America’s First Corps, was the guest speaker for the Military Intelligence Corps Association (MICA) awards ceremony, where he awarded 15 Soldiers and two civilians with MICA awards to include the Golden Rose and the Knowlton award to recognize their outstanding achievements within the military intelligence community, May 23.
“Military Intelligence stands as the lifeblood of any successful military operation,” said Brunson, the senior most Knowlton award holder on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. “It is the bedrock upon which our strategic, operational, and tactical decisions are built.”
